Waterman Engineering Company

We specialize in general civil engineering projects, state and interstate highways, bridges, airports, traffic studies, urban planning, housing and industrial development. The surveying division of the company has provided numerous street maps, plat maps and tax maps for municipalities throughout the region. In addition, a substantial amount of similar work has been performed for private developers. Recently, the firm has placed more emphasis on subdivisions, land development, environmental engineering and land surveying.

The firm maintains a staff of 13 Professional Land Surveyors and Engineers, technicians and supporting personnel and, as part of the emphasis on offering a complete range of civil engineering services, most members of the staff are versed in a number of disciplines. We also maintain in-house computer facilities for all facets of engineering design, survey calculations, project scheduling, word processing and CAD drafting.

Waterman Engineering Company has the capabilities of three full time survey crews. Countless surveys have been performed throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts for the private sector as well as municipalities and state agencies. Our staff is qualified in conventional as well as electronic and GPS surveying methods. Our computer systems allow us to more efficiently and economically produce our surveys and plot results. Our staff is also well versed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts land surveying laws and our personnel include a Registered Land Surveyor in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Rounding out our staff is our Drafting Department whose members have a combined total of more than fifty-five years of experience in all facets of civil engineering and survey drafting and hold degrees in computerized drafting. Our two senior draftspersons have had extensive experience in the preparation of condominium, subdivision and survey plans and preparation of construction drawings for a number of site development projects. Our unique service has established our place in the industry, and allows us to make a distinctive and substantial impact for our clients.
